National Stamp Exhibition - 2014

November 7 - 9, 2014

To commemorate the 137th Birth Anniversary of National Poet, Allama Iqbal, Pakistan Philatelic Association, Lahore organized a three days stamp exhibition named "PAK PHILEX 2014". This exhibition was held at Punjab Institute of Language, Art & Culture (PILAC), near Qadafi Cricket Stadium, Ferozepur Road, Lahore. Philatelists from all provinces came with their exhibits on different themes. Mr. Shoaib Ali Jafri (Deputy Post Master General - Admin) inaugurated the event with Dr. Sughra Sadaf (Director of PILAC) in evening of first day of exhibition. After that, the chief guests visited the exhibits one by one, the philatelists told them about their exhibitions. On the second day of the event is mainly for the auction of philatelic and numismatic items. The paintings of Aslam Kamal (Painter of Iqbal) also displayed. On the last day of the event Pakistan Philatelic Association organized a prize distribution ceremony at PILAC. The chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony were Faqir Syed Shahiryar-ud-Din (Post Master General - Punjab), Mr. Shoaib Ali Jaffri (Deputy Post Master General -Admin), Mr. Aslam Kamal (Painter of Iqbal), Khalid Malik (President - Philatelic Federation of Pakistan). The exhibitors received their medals and certificates from the chief guests. Pakistan Philatelic Association presented shields to the chief guests. Pakistan Philatelic Association issued a souvenir cover and souvenir book to commemorate the event meanwhile Pakistan Post issued three post marks on the event. Allama Iqbal Stamps Society displayed 5 frames philatelic collection on National Poet.

1- November 7, 2014 - "Youth Day"

2- November 8, 2014 - "Thematic Day"

3- November 9, 2014 - "Iqbal Day"
