9th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2014

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) organized Iqbal Day Celebrations at Academic Block of its campus. Allama Iqbal Stamps Society arranged 9th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2014 with the collaboration of Gad & Birgit Rausing Library and Gurmani Center for Languages & Literature on November 10, 2014. The program was held at A-11 Auditorium Academic Block. The stamp show was arranged just outside the auditorium till 7:00 PM. The students of LUMS show their keen interest in the philatelic items of National Poet. Miss Atiya Syed delivered a lecture on "Iqbal and Asar-e-Hazir" which was started on 5:00 PM. Mian Iqbal Salah-ud-Din (grandson of Allama Iqbal) visited the stamp show as chief guest. This was the first exhibition of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society in which she used her own frames, donated by Berger Paints Pakistan Limited. At the end of first day, Dr. Muhammad Ramzan (Director - Gad & Birgit Rausing Library) presented a souvenir of LUMS to Mian Sajid Ali (Chairman - Allama Iqbal Stamps Society) and Miss Mahjabeen Ashraf (Co-Presenter of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society). The next day, this exhibition was shifted to Gad & Birgit Rausing Library. Here this stamp show was held till afternoon. Iqbal Academy Pakistan, Lahore also arranged book stall on Iqbaliyat which she published.
