To commemorate 76th Death Anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (National Poet), Pakistan Philatelic Society, Lahore arranged a stamps exhibition titled "LAHOREPEX - 2014" on April 20-21, 2014. This stamps exhibition was for the promotion of philately in new generation; so called "Learning Stamps Exhibition" on "Allama Iqbal Day". Collectors from Lahore participated in this exhibition. Allama Iqbal Stamps Society also displayed her thematic collection on Allama Iqbal. The inauguration of this exhibition was held at 11:00 by Deputy Post Master General, Shoaib Ali Jaffri and Salman Qureshi (Former IG-Punjab & Patron). After the opening they visited frames one by one. Some collectors came from Peshawar also. Pakistan Philatelic Society issued a souvenir (booklet) on this occasion. Next day on April 21, 2014, many schools visited this exhibition. Students showed their keen interest at the event.
