7th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2013

To commemorate the 75th Death Anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Allama Iqbal Stamps Society organized a stamp exhibition on it named "7th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2013" at Mazar-e-Iqbal, Lahore on April 21, 2013. The stamp show started just after the parade of Pakistan Rangers at Iqbal's Tomb in the morning. Prof. Dr. Rafiq Ahmed (Deputy Chairman - Nazaria Pakistan Trust & Former Vice Chancellor - University of the Punjab) inaugurated the stamp show with Muhammad Hanif Shahid (Director - Bazm-e-Iqbal, Lahore). Mian Sajid Ali showed his philatelic collection in 7 frames which one frame on the letters of Allama Iqbal. On this remarkable event, Pakistan Post issued a commemorative postage stamp on 75th Death Anniversary of Allama Iqbal. This stamp was very beautiful in silver, maroon and black colours. Pakistan Post also issued a booklet which covered the short summary on past stamps of Postal Department on Allama Iqbal in colourful pages. The high profiles whom visited the stamp exhibition included Muhammad Hanif Shahid (Director - Bazm-e-Iqbal, Lahore), Prof. Dr. Rafiq Ahmed (Deputy Chairman - Nazaria Pakistan Trust and Former Vice Chancellor of University of the Punjab), Mian Iqbal Salahuddin (Grandson of Allama Iqbal and Chairman - Dabistan-e-Iqbal), Prof. Nicholas Adams (University of Edinburgh), Justice (R) Manzoor Hussain Siyal (President - Anjuman Himayat-e-Islam), Mian Muhammad Munir (Former Member of National Assembly), Zahid Shamsi (Poet and Scholar) and many more.  The members of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society done work as volunteer for the whole day at there.
