4th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2012

On the occasion of 74th Death Anniversary of Allama Iqbal, The National Poet, on April 21, 2012, Allama Iqbal Stamps Society organized 4th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2012 held at Mazar-e-Iqbal, Lahore. The collection of Mian Sajid Ali, is the founder of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society, on philatelic items on Allama Iqbal displayed there. This is the first time when an event like this, held on Allama Iqbal's tomb on his death anniversary. The first three stamp shows displayed here on his birth anniversary since 2009. The stamp show started at 11:00 in the sunny day till 18:30. Mr. Munib Iqbal (Grandson of allama iqbal) inaugurated the 4th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2012. He also presented a portrait of Allama Iqbal which issued by Government of Pakistan on his Birth Centenary 1977 as a souvenir to Mian Sajid Ali on his successful and remarkable stamp shows on National Poet at Mazar-e-Iqbal. The stamp show contains 7 frames on philatelic items on Allama Iqbal. The people of all kinds and ages came here for seeing the stamp show. Daily Nawa-i-Waqt and Daily The Nation covered the event in the next day's issues while Waqt News telecast a little report on the event in the news at night on the same day.
