IQBAL MEMORIAL FUND STAMPS
As part of a campaign to obtain contributions to the Iqbal Memorial Fund, Government of Pakistan is issuing four imperforated stamps of Re.1, Rs.5, Rs.10 and Rs.100 denominations to be known as Iqbal Memorial Fund stamps which will be put on sale from Post Office from March 15, 1978. These imperforated stamps are not Postage Stamps and cannot, therefore, be used for the prepayment of postage. Salient features of stamps in question are given in the accompaying postal notice.
All Post Offices which have more than one counter/window for public transactions should indicate the counter/window at which Iqbal Memorial Fund Stamps are available for sale.
The stamps will be supplied by the Ministry of Finance through the Controller of Stamps to the Head Post Offices, where from supplies will be made to sub and branch offices. On receipt of supply of stamps from the Controller of Stamps the same will be entered in a stock and sale register by the Head Offices.
Note: The above detail about Iqbal Memorial Fund took from the Director General's Circular No.16 of Pakistan Post Office, Karachi on March 16, 1978 under the Section-I of Postal Services.
