National Stamp Exhibition held on November 20-22, 2009 at Hall # 5, Expo Centre, Karachi. Philatelists from all over the country displayed their exhibits. 110 frames displayed there, attracted crowd of all ages. The classes in the exhibition were Traditional, Postal History, Thematic, Postal Stationary, Aero Philately, Revenue, Youth and Literature. Allama Iqbal stamps exhibit displayed here in Thematic Class by Mian Sajid Ali from Lahore which was on 3 frames. A beautiful and informative brochure (souvenir) was published on this occasion. Pakistan Post’s stamp on Allama Iqbal which issued on April 21, 1997 under Pak-Iran Agreement placed on the title page of the brochure. Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Mian (Director General – Pakistan Post) was the Chief Guest in the stamp exhibition. The theme of the exhibition was “Keeping towards the vision of Allama Iqbal”.
