15th Allama Iqbal Stamp Show - 2018

To celebrate of World Book Day and commemoration of 80th death anniversary of Allama Iqbal, GCU Library Society organized an event on April 23, 2018 in which Allama Iqbal Stamps Society participated on her request. This is the first ever experience of stamp show at that educational institute where Allama Iqbal studied and he served some years as a teacher. The formal inauguration was held at 10:00 by the vice chancellor of GCU, Prof. Dr. Hassan Amir Shah (S.I.) with other respected teaching staff. GCU Library Society organized a photographic exhibition of Allama Iqbal and book fair too. Mian Sajid Ali, chairman - Allama Iqbal Stamps Society, briefed his philatelic collection to the chief guest and other staff. The VC shown his keen interest in the exhibition. After the visit of the exhibition and book fair, prize distribution ceremony was held. The vice chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hassan Amir Shah (S.I.) presenting a honorary shield to Mian Sajid Ali. I, on behalf of Allama Iqbal Stamps Society, am very thankful to Muhammad Naeem (Chief Librarian) and Muhammad Umer (Librarian) whom take special interest to organized this stamp show at the campus.
